Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were founded in 2000 after the collaboration between Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. As time went on, they have become a huge designer brand with flagship stores in multiple countries, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to.

I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often look through what FarFetch had, as they always had an curated selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always felt the price was too high and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always shoes that were just in the back of my mind. Some time back, Adam was the one who was the early fan and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. After checking out his pair and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re crafted by hand in Italy, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so they’re truly one-of-a-kind. Some have much more abrasions and dirt than others, so each pair is unpredictable.

If you’re buying at a store, it might be a good idea to ask to see a few of the same shoe and pick from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to hope you get a good pair!The pair of sneakers that I was first obsessed with are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been on the market forever, but I never ended up purchasing them.
